So for some reason, I can't convince my eyes that the 92 and 94/95 (93 too?) models look the same. I know the later models tend to have the 17 inch rims, but besides that the later model 968's appear…Continue

"Gotcha, if you were going to get a manual, it was going to be a 6 speed, (no 5 speeds)."

"I wish there were another 968 around here, to which mine could be compared. I do like those newer seats in the mid-1994 models, though, the engine compartment trim I like in the 1992. "

"You'll find most of the changes occured during the middle of the 1994 model year (seats, wheels, engine compartment trim). The LSD type changed after 1992.    "

"Thanks Damian, greatly appreciated,! So the body styling difference that I'm getting at is just an illusion from the smaller wheels? The changes you speak of I'm assuming occurred after the 93 model year or 92? Thanks again!"

"Interiors are the big differences, seats and door panels are different.  17" wheel options changed from Cup1 to Cup 2.  Exhaust tip was a change.  Front and rear emblems changed, but very early on.  LSD typed changed. …"

I know the later models tend to have the 17 inch rims, but besides that the later model 968's appear to just have a wider/thicker body. Is this true, or just some illusion? Also, even though there arent many (if any differences) between the model years, what are the ones that you guys know of? Thanks!See More

"that sounds like a more realistic number, especially considering this one is a 92. Could one make the claim that a rebuilt engine is superior than an original one with lots of miles? Is yours 6 speed btw? thanks!"

"I got $8,250 for my '95 coupe w/ LSD and 118k miles.  Had 10k miles and 8 years since major $6k rebuild.  Compression showed just over 200psi in each cylinder.   "
